Every Ending is a New Beginning

Feelings about graduation of Flatiron coding bootcamp.

I thought I was eventually free from 9 to 6 classes, lectures and labs…Not a student anymore, becoming one of the software engineers gave me a thrill and accomplishment. However, this kind of feeling did not last long. I was in the safe haven. Now I am into a real world, and there’s a new beginning with freedom.

As a self-taught software developer before joining bootcamp, I was thrilled that I was a academically superior student when I was in a bootcamp, receiving compliments from instructors and tech-teachers, enjoying working on projects, working with great teammates, fulfilled when the result came out awesome. I though I finally found the right path of my life.

Two weeks from the graduation ceremony, I finally noticed that it was not the END of my career journey to a happy ending, it was just a beginning and I just took a very first baby step. But the difference after the graduation, I need to take this journey alone, not with other students or instructors, utterly alone. That’s the cost for my freedom.

However, I am so excited and looking forward to meeting great people, mentors and coworkers in the future. Searching a job might be harder than I expected, but I am happy to go take this step for my future career. I know I will be hired the perfect company I want to work for, and we will grow and develop together with synergy. I will not stop it until I meet this company. This. is just a new beginning.
